Cardz TV Christmas in July Challenge #3

I decided to try something new with this Cardz TV Challenge, its a Christmas in July one basicly anything goes just include Christmas.

Would you like to play along CLICK HERE.

Would you like to see the card spinning in action, Visit my Face Book Page,  CLICK HERE.

Layeing out my design, it came together more quickly then I thought.
I cut a 4 by 5 inch panel from Crumb Cake card stock.
I also alligned the Oval die and card stock below the embossing folder to try and get as close to the center as possible.

I think it turned out pretty good.

I then embossed the panel.
I used some Wood Veneer Reinder and Liquid Platinum embossing powder along with Versa Mark ink.
Make sure you have two pieces per card and emboss the right sides because they will be lined up in the end.

I used an old box to emboss the reindeer's it makes it alot easier.
I used a strong double sided tape along with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere two strands of gold thread.

The length needs to be extra on the top and bottom to create the spinning mechanisum.
A pieced of strong double sided adhesive down then the string, pulled tight.

Anouther piece on top of that.
Tombow Mono Liquid Glue around the rest of the panel.
All done

I added a sentiment embossed with the same powder and banner ends.

Garden Page July 8th 2017

I found some Paper Piercing templates from Fiskars on clearance at Hobby Lobby and they had flowers and the little one was perfect to go with a Project Life or Pocket Style page for one of my Gardening layouts.

I am using some 110 Pound White card stock and a 3X4 die.

I taped it with some painters tape to a piercing mat that was also on clearance from Hobby Lobby.
Begin to punch in the holes that are on the template.
I then look threw my alphas to find a black thin set to spell out the word bloom.

I am adding it to the card over wax paper to find placement of the other two flowers.
I make a little pencil line template to help me keep the flower going around the word.
Just double checking to make sure the third flower will work.
And again after I finish punching the third flower.
Using three strands of embordery floss and Washi Tape to adhere it to the back.
 Start with the outline first.

I did refer to the piercing mat for referance a few times.
This part is totaly up to you.

I just did some crossed lines to fill it out.

The sky is the limit, no right or wrong.
The center with again three strands of thread is easier.

I go in  a bit of a star pattern.
I then go around the circle to fill it out and give some definition.
All done and I LOVE it.
Using my T-Squared ruler to try and attempt to get the "bloom" straight.
I am a sucker for wood grain paper and had it layeing around a figured out it was perfect.

I used the X-ACTO punch to round the corners.
I typed my journaling on my phone and sent it to my computer which houses Heavy Weight White card stock.

Cut into strips.
Added a doilie to add some interest and texture and fill in the card.
This is a photo over head of the plant in the pot.

Printed 4X6.
Here is the filler card and flower blooms in size 3X4.
I used a golden yellow chip board alpha sticker for my date.
 Close up.
 Close up.
Close up.

GDP #094 Sketch Challenge

I decided to go with a Fall themed card for the Global Design Challenge #094.

Would you like to play along, CLICK HERE to join.

I am using a Thick striped back ground stamp that I have taped off to create a square shape.

Along with my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect tool that unfortunatly is off the market.
With the Tim Holtz mini Distress ink cubes it was easy to ink each stripe with Fall colors.

I am totally OK with the distress and not perfectly stamped look.
My card base is top folding 110 Pound White card stock.

I stamped and water colored the pumpkin and stem using Heavy Weight White card stock.

Used the cordinating dies to cut them out with my Big Shot.
Some copper thread wrapped around three fingers to give the card some texture.
I stamped my sentiment in Versa Fine Black Onyx ink, and I did cut the stamp apart and it did not scream, its OK, go for it and get more life from your stamps.

A little double sided tape to adhere the string down, pumpkin on top with foam dimensionals.
All done

I used the same colors of Distress Ink to color in the pumpkin, and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins as well.
