Goals for March 2017

Today is the last day of February 2017 and I have been thinking the last week that I need to make some Crafty Goals.

I look at my Craft Space and I see tons of stuff, overwhelmed from the stuff but again I got deals and may use it sometime.

So here is my garbage bin next to my big shot.
 Its all cleaned out now.
My garbage bin is empty too.

What does that mean, starting fresh clean slate.

I am also going to use a bin to place products I have used up during the month of March.

I would like to spend 5, yes FIVE days a week down in my craft room, even if it is only 30 minutes at the least hours on end.

I would like to create 10 cards, whether they are all different or multiples.

I would like to Scrapbook or Pocket Style/Project Life.  Lets say complete 4 Designs.

I would like to spent $50 to $100 only on supplies.

I would like to use supplies that I have not in months, this may be a challenge, I will have to keep a log of what I use and hopefully in a few months I will know what to use and what to choose.

I would like to have 10-15 Blog Posts.

I had 13 in January and 18 in February.

Re Asses these Goals and Progress March 31.

The S was giving her a hard time she said.
All done.

Easter Egg Card

I just love the Work of Art stamp set from Stampin Up and have made several of these Easter Egg cards with it in the past.

My inspiration was from this CARD.

I started with a Heavy Weight White card stock mat sized 4 by 5 1/4.

Using an old My Favorite Things Oval framelit I cut from the center,
I added a little extra give to the oval cut out on anouther 3 3/4 by 5 inch Heavy Weight White card stock.

Using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig just to make sure I get my placement close to each of the stamped images.
I am using Stampin UP ink in Blushing Bride first and then Soft Sky.
 I added Wisteria Wonder next.
 Anouther row of Blushing Bride.
 A row of Pistachio Pudding.
And finally a row of Soft Sky.
Here is when I realize that my oval was too big so I cut anouther from new panel smaller.
I added some foam on the back.
I cut out more oval this time with the biggest I have and stamped Easter Blessing.

The card base and ink Wisteria Wonder.
I used flower stamp set and dies from Simon Says Stamp and the cordinating ink and card stock.

Alivia's 6X8 Album Front Cover

I recently purchased some 6X8 Albums on clearance and decided that this summer the girls can make there own album.

I started with Alivia's, she choose the 6X8 black and white stripe with a sparkly pink glitter heart on top.

It is a Hobby Lobby brand "the Paper Studio", regular $14.99 and I got it for $7.50.

It comes with 12 inserts, three each of four designs, One has two 6X4 pockets, One has a 6X8 pocket, One has four 3X4 pockets, and the last design has two 3X4 and a 4X6 pocket.

Here I pulled out two different set of black foam alphas from my stash.
A piece of wax paper over the heart and her name place with both alphas.
She liked the first one because it had a capital A but she did not like that the dot was connected for the I.

So we used scissors to cut off the dot and borrowed the dots from the other Alphas.
Much better mom, she told me.
I brought down my T-Squared ruler to help her get the letters straight and she placed them on the heart while I held the ruler.

She needed a picture to go with this post so she took this one.

I think I will have her use that on one of her pages, I just need to print it out.
Here is the finished Album Cover.

A close up.

Easter Bunny Punch Art

So this is not my original idea but I used what I had in my stash and changed it up just a little with the supplies I had on hand.

Here I am just deciding which dies to use.

I end up with a smaller large circle.

These are from my stash, I believe from My Favorite Things.
When you purchase directly from the Lawn Fawn website they always send you some free 6X6 papers, twine, and one small embellishment so I am using some of those 6X6 papers for the inside of the ears and nose.

Tomobow Mono Liquid glue to adhere everything down.
Once I knew how far I wanted the bunny down I used the excess to cut off for two more circles.
I stamped the front and back of the envelopes.

$1.00 stamps from Micheal's this year 2017.
Inside of the card, same Micheal's stamps.

Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, and Gumball Green ink from Stampin UP.
Finished bunnies peeking from the side, I used a Project Life pen to draw in the whiskers and mouth.

Finished bunnies from the front view, I used some black pearls from my stash for their eyes.

Studio Calico; Crop Challenge Stamped Title with Jen

I finished this first day of school layout for Alexis album and will enter it in the Studio Calico Crop Challenge 2017; Stamped Title with Jen.

I pulled out three Stampin Up Ink colors that matched the photo of Alexis on her first day of 2nd grade.

Lucky Limeade, Pacific Point, and Primrose Petals.
Here I am giving the smoosh your ink pad on wax paper and spraying with water.
I did not quite like that technique, I think I need more practice.

I went with the traditional packaging and ink with water mist.
Here is the Primrose Petals ink on the was paper and it just did not move as freely.
Again the packaging with a cheap bottle with water.
 I addded the blue.
Its blurry but I am just seeing if I have enough color.
I did not use water color paper, I used 110 pound white card stock from Micheal's.

So I am using red line tape, a strong double sided tape, and trying to keep close the edge to ensure it lays flat.
Using some retired My Favorite Things stamps sets and my Fiskars Stamp Press.
 Versa Fine Black Onyx ink.
AND crap I did not stamp well.
AND re inking and attempting stamping on top because sometimes it works,

AND nope.
But the page was easy and fast to recreate.
Some foam on the back.
All done, I made sure to press evenly every where and hold the stamp press done for a bit and got it PERFECT the second time.

Close up, I added a tag with a stamped roller date from Amy Tangerine.

I added some Target Dollar Spot ABC ribbon to two corners of the photo.
The second page is definitly lighter and less blended but it works and I am happy and Alexis loved it, she said it was perfect for a Second Grader.
