Love You A Lattee Vday Card

Mary at CARDZ TV is having another challenge #124 Be My Valentine. Make a card using the card feature of any Cricut Cartridge, round or square.

Finished Card

Here is what I chose from my scrap bin. I used all scraps except for the card base. Trying to use up stuff.  The brown to the left is the left overs of my card base, the only full 8 1/2 X11 inch piece of paper.

Using my gypsy, below is after I cut out my pieces.
Below I ended up cutting off the top of the cream layer it didn't cut very good the sprinkle part so I cut it off and then when I began to piece together you could see some of the green so after I glued the first 3 layers I took a brown maker and colored the inside so all the sprinkles would look the same. Then glued the white part on top.
The coffee was cut from the Love You A Lattee Cricut Cartridge its called Frpacho2, I cut it at 2.75 inches.

Card base came from Stretch Your Imagination Page 81 cut at 4 inches. The hot pink paper I cut at 3.75 inches and just moved the card over and had it cut out just half the card base. Make Sense?
All paper is from Recollections.

Inside I stamped with Staz on Jet Black ink.

Also added another pink square matt, about 1/8 inch border all around.
I put the coffee on foam and added some American crafts ribbon/bakers twine in brown, threaded and brown button and secured with a glue dot.

The sentiment is from a Cardz TV stamp set I purchased a while ago.

It says You MOCHA me happy!

From Brew HaHa
This stamp I bought at hobby lobby on clearance, I have some interchangeable stamps that go with it that were also clearanced. J for Jennifer.
OH my, I'm showing you my scrap bin.
Its pretty big and deep.

So go join the challenge, Mary's blog really does challenge me and takes me out of my comfort zone and even better makes me want to scrapbook and card make more and just get into my craft room.

Red, White, Black Vday card

I so did not use my cricut for this card but I did use some new products and a new technique that has begun to spread.

I am entering a CardzTV color challenge use only Red, White, and Black.

I am seriously supper happy beyond words how cute/lovely this card turned out!

Here is a look at the products I pulled out, I used the 2 heart punches and the single L O V E wood mounted stamps. Also 3 different heart cling stamps.
Didn't use glue dots but just in case I had them out. The pop dots are circles today.
Look at that pretty Stampin Up ink pad in Real Red. LOL. I didn't use the banner die.
Making 2 cards at ounce. Red base, 2 white layers (one for inside and one for outside), and the black mat. Standard size card.
White colored pencil and ruler to make the outline of the chalkboard.
One of the hearts to act like the little ties for the LOVE banner. drew a white pencil line first then did the hearts and then the LOVE letters.

Let dry, next time I will heat set, THIS TAKES LONG LONG to dry.
Finished Card. LOVE IT.

The two hearts are stamped in Real Red ink and used the two hear punches to punch them out
and did some fussy cutting to finish them. Big one is on a foam circle while little is just attached with adhesive.

Matted first with the white, 1/4 of an inch border around.
Inside again white mat with 1/4 of an inch border around. I stamped the sentiment in the Real Red ink as well with a stampin up stamp. Heart punch in the top for some somethin.

Used a sponge dauber and gently sponged around to give the chalkboard effect.

Sticker Valentine Card

Entering another challenge tonight.  Looking for different card/scrap booking challenges really has me thinking outside the box and making me want to do more not just because of the prizes but because they make me do what really makes me happy. Other then my 2 mini monsters and husband monster. LOL

I entered the Use it Tuesday Challenge #47 make it sparkle.

This blog has a requirement of using your hoarded stash and that's why I chose this challenge because I opened one of my sticker drawers and found this sticker sheet that my Secret Pal (from my work) gave me LAST FEBRUARY and Ive never done a card based on stickers.

Finished Front of the Card

Sentiment, I ended up masking the Be part because I just didn't want that. I used American crafts brown bakers twine, I got a whole bunch of small rolls from TJMAX for 9.99 back in October. I wrapped it around 3 times and tied a bow, I secured the bow with a glue dot.
The inside of the card I matted with a brown mat and another cream mat. I used a heart punch that my mom got me for Christmas and stamped Happy Valentines Day in Brown Staz on Ink.
Here's a shot of the supplies for the inside on the card.

Something new and different for me to do.  Decorating the inside of my cards.

Top Picture is of my desk and my supplies. The bottom picture shows the sticker and how much dimension it adds to the card. The SPARKLE part of my card is the hearts, I hope you can see from the two photographs that this sticker and sticker sheet has glitter on them.

5th Birthday card

This Birthday Card is going to my daughters friend who is turning 5 on Wednesday.

I used My new Fiskares cupcake punch. It was on clearance at Micheals for 4.99
Shes turning 5 so I wanted to use 5 cupcakes and 5 Pink buttons.
The card size is a premade card from Micheals, the Recolections brand 5 X 6 1/2
The black mat is 1/4 of an inch smaller then the white card base.
The pink polka mat is 1/4 of inch smaller then the black mat.
The cream mat on the bottom is the same width as the pink polka mat but only 2 inches tall.
The ribbion is accualy adhered backwards, its a pink plaid on the front but it was too pink.

I used a cream colored paper(recolections) for the cupcake tops and a 12X12 sheet of patterned paper for the bottom. Looks like real cupcake liners doesn't it.
I used a variation of Glitter glue(Studio G and Stickles) to add SPRINKLES to the tops of the cupcakes.
These 5 pink buttons are from Micheals.  They were 1.50 for about 30 pieces.
These 2 stamps are from Micheals as well, 1.50 each.  I masked them with Scotch tape to hide what I didn't want from the stamp.

I used a Pink ink that I tried to match with the Pinks in the card.

The bottom photo is the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I am intering this card into a challenge
